½ pound (250 g) bacon, fried and crumbled
1 8oz (250 g) pkg. cream cheese, softened
½ cup (125 mL) sour cream
1 cup (250 mL) smoked salmon, flaked into small pieces
1 tbsp (15 mL) maple syrup
2 green onions, diced
1 large tomato, cut into small pieces
1 cup (250 mL) cheddar cheese, grated
Mix together cream cheese and sour cream until well blended. Add bacon, salmon, maple syrup, onion and tomato. Stir until well combined. Spoon mixture into a large casserole dish and top with grated cheese.
Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven for 15-20 minutes, until cheese is melted and mixture is hot throughout. Serve with crackers, melba toast or tortilla chips.
