12 tea bags
4 cups (1 L) boiling water
4 cups (1 L) cold water
1 can (12-ounce/341 mL) frozen lemonade concentrate
3/4 cup (175 mL) granulated sugar, or to taste
1 teaspoon (5 mL) almond extract
Ice cubes
Place tea bags in a large heatproof bowl or stainless steel saucepan. Pour boiling water over them and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and add cold water. Add lemonade concentrate and stir until blended. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Stir in almond extract. Keep tea at room temperature until ready to serve. (Refrigeration may cause tea to "cloud.") Serve over ice cubes in tall glasses. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
Make-ahead tip: Instead of regular ice cubes, which weaken iced tea as they melt, make up trays of tea ice cubes. Just pour regular tea into ice cube trays and freeze until needed.
