Blue Mussel Cafe

Located in North Rustico Harbour on Prince Edward Island’s north shore, Blue Mussel Café is a seafood restaurant with a difference. Unlike many establishments, you will not find a deep fryer in this kitchen as owners Steve Murphy and Christine McQuaid, along with chef Jamie Power, prefer to let the true flavour of the fish come through. Offering fresh PEI mussels and oysters, haddock, salmon, halibut (their best seller), and of course, lobster, Blue Mussel is a local hot spot! The Seafood Bubbly Bake has been a favourite of both regulars and tourists since 1994. They won “The Absolute Best Seafood Starter” and “The Ultimate Seafood Fusion” at Islanders Choice Awards in 2016. The beautiful charcuterie board and Jamie’s Famous Linguini will definitely appeal to those who prefer their food choices to be land-based. The breathtaking view combines with the freshest of foods and great service to make Blue Mussel Café a “must visit” on your next trip to the Island.

This seasonal establishment runs from late-May until early October; Monday to Sunday 11:30am to 8pm. Reservations are not required but the staff can be reached at 902-963-2152.
