Given the quality of the photos entered in Saltscapes' online monthly photo contest, it's clear that there are plenty of talented photographers in our community. Here's a tip to make the most of your photo skills during winter months:

Halifax photographer Perry Jackson advises shooters to overexpose by ½ to a full stop when the ground is covered in snow. This slightly wider lens opening will help make the snow appear white, as opposed to grey.
